3-year-old killed in house fire morning after Christmas, firefighters say

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Firefighters said a 3-year-old boy was killed in a house fire in Bartow County the day after Christmas.

Fire crews were called to a blaze at a mobile home on Clark Circle around noon Saturday. Firefighters found the home completely engulfed in flames. Crews tried to rescue the child but were unsuccessful.

Firefighters found remains of what they believe are the missing child. The body has been turned over to the coroner’s office for identification.

The boy wasn’t identified, and it’s unclear if he lived at the home.

The fire marshal is still investigating.
