Authorities identify body found near Chattahoochee River

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Medical Examiner's office identified a man's body found near the Chattahoochee River Monday afternoon.
 
The body of 34-year-old Perfecto Ochoa Alvarado was found by a fisherman lying on a log near the bank near the Cobb/Fulton County line in Austell.

Police are investigating this case as a homicide.

Although the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death, they are not releasing it due to the active investigation.
