ATLANTA — The wife of a man who was shot and killed at the West Lake Marta station Thursday said she doesn't know the accused shooter.
Police arrested Chauncy Lee Daniels, 30, after he tripped while attempting to escape from the chaotic scene on board a train.
He's accused of repeatedly shooting Zachariah Hunnicutt, 38, and wounding two other passengers.
"I'm glad they got him. It put me at peace. We got a 6-year-old daughter together. I'm very hurt. I got to look at my child who is missing her father," Alicia Hunnicutt said.

MARTA police described the shooting as isolated and targeted, but have not yet released a motive.
The victim's wife said she would ask one question if she could speak with the man charged with her husband's murder.
"Why would you do it? What was the reason for killing him?" Hunnicutt said.
In the wake of the shooting, MARTA stepped up patrols at all transit stations and said customer safety is their No. 1 priority. Customers at the West Lake Station welcomed the added police presence.
"More people to patrol the area, keep things from happening, keep the station safe," Kuwanna Floyd said.
The three other wounded passengers were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A candlelight vigil took place at the West Lake Station Friday night.
