Teen who crashed stolen SUV on top of house dies

ATLANTA — The teen who was ejected from a stolen SUV after crashing it on top of a house in southwest Atlanta has died, officials said.

Terrell King, 16, of Stone Mountain, died from his injuries Wednesday, officials with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said.

King was driving a Dodge Journey at a high rate of speed Tuesday when he lost control, police said. The crash happened in the 2400 block of Maxwell Drive.

The vehicle went airborne, tearing down tree limbs, mailboxes and power lines.

The car was stolen Sunday night in southwest Atlanta, about five miles from where the crash happened, owner Ebony Thomas-Knight told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

No one else was injured in the incident.
