ATLANTA — The reward is growing for information about the shooting of a Lyft driver who was married to a state prosecutor.
Shahriar Zolfaghari was shot and killed last week while sitting at a stoplight at the corner of Rankin Street and Boulevard in NE Atlanta.
Zolfaghari was married to Assistant Attorney General Camila Wright. Attorney General Sam Olens appointed Wright as the state's first human sex-trafficking prosecutor in 2014.
"I was always afraid something like this would happen," Wright said. "People have just lost the value of a human life, that they would be willing to take it for nothing."
The couple has a young child.
“He started driving and working late nights for Lyft because his goal was to provide for her, provide for us,” Wright said. %

Zolfaghari was shot twice, according to officers. Crime scene investigators found one shell casing inside the car and a second outside the car.
"Looks like someone must have been in the vehicle with him or shot him at close range. We do have some ballistic evidence both inside the car and outside the car," said Atlanta Police Maj. Adam Lee.
His family and friends raised $25,000, bringing the reward total to $35,000.
"He was a wonderful father. He was a wonderful husband and this is very tragic," a family spokesperson said. "(Camila) is grateful for the hard work and support of law enforcement and appreciates the support and prayers of all her family and friends."
If you have information in the shooting, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 404-577-8477. You can remain anonymous.
“It is completely anonymous. When you walk in and get your reward you get cash money you don't even fill out tax information. It's completely anonymous,” Crimestoppers' Deputy Director Patrick Apoian said.
