ATLANTA — Dozens of protesters marched from Piedmont Park through Midtown and downtown Atlanta, with a stop in Centennial Olympic Park on Wednesday night.
“We’re just making some little statement to say not everybody out there accepts the hatred, the racism that’s being espoused,” one protester said.
Some of the protesters marched with family.
"I think it's great to come out here with my sister and my mom and show solidarity with all of these people. Atlanta is a very diverse city and i think people feel very vulnerable right now,” another protester said.
One woman told Channel 2’s Justin Wilfon she woke up the day after the election to some difficult questions from her children.
Atlanta police said the march was peaceful Wednesday and there were no arrests.
Protesters said the march would not be the last one.
"We’re not going to go back to normal. Nothing's going to go back to normal at least not for the next four years,” one woman said.
