Police: 2 people found shot in the head on I-85

Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Interstate 85 near Cleveland Avenue.

A man was shot and killed, according to police. The victim was identified by the Fulton County medical examiner as Andre Cambrice, 56, of Atlanta.

Police said a HERO unit reported a car on the side of the road at about 9:15 a.m. %

He saw a grim scene when he looked inside the car. Police said Cambrice was shot in the head and died. A woman was also shot in the head and is in serious condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, according to police.

Police said Cambrice was in the driver seat and the woman in the passenger seat. Police said they do not know the relationship between the two.

"At this time we're not releasing any kind of motive. We haven't established a motive," said Atlanta police Capt. Ben McGee.

Police said they recovered a handgun in the vehicle.

Several lanes were closed for hours as police investigated.
