ATLANTA — Three suspects believed to have robbed a man in Buckhead and then were chased by the victim are in police custody.
According to police, it all started when the group of suspects robbed a man in the parking lot of Lenox Square. They say the victim followed the suspects through a MARTA station on East Paces Ferry and down to the Alexan Lenox Courtyard.
"Where the other altercation occurred at the time he sustained gunshot wounds, there was little blood around his head where he might have fallen but he seemed to be alive," said Stephanie Brown with the Atlanta police department explained.
Neighbors heard commotion and some told Channel 2's Carl Willis they thought nothing of it -- at first.
"I heard about five rounds of gunshots. Three and then two," said Ryan Hooks.

Atlanta police caught one suspect early on. Later, they say a Brookhaven K-9 unit captured the shooter at a nearby construction site.
"You just have to stay vigilant. It can happen at the mall. It can happen when you're walking home, you just never know," said resident Eric Harmatz.
