Naked man stabs 3 people before going to Walmart, police say

CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. — Police arrested a man who they said stabbed three people while under the influence of LSD in Athens.

According to Athens-Clarke County police, officers responded just after midnight Saturday to the 400 block of Meadow Lane, in reference to an aggravated assault call.

Officers found a man who had been stabbed in the face, and another who had been stabbed in the back. A woman was found to have been stabbed in the stomach.

Police said they were told that Adam Scott Presley, 21, was under the influence of drugs and began attacking the victims with a knife. He left the scene before officers arrived.

Police said they got an indecent exposure call while they were on the scene, and left to go to Walmart on Lexington Road in Athens.

They said they found a man walking around through the parking lot and they told him to stop walking but he did not comply. He had blood on him, according to police.

They followed him into Walmart and used a Taser on him but he kept walking, officers said.

They said he was arrested and admitted he was under the influence of LSD when he stabbed several people, telling police that there was “nothing wrong with that.”

Police said they learned that Presley had broken a car window before his arrest, which accounted for the blood.

Police said one of the stabbing victims suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the intensive care unit at a local hospital.
