Murder suspect wanted in Tennessee could be in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police in Atlanta and Memphis are looking for a wanted fugitive. Detectives said Raymond Clark is on the run after killing his girlfriend in her car in Memphis, then ditching that car here.

The victim was killed in front two children -- one of them was the woman's 10-year-old daughter.

Hunter Kemp was sitting on his porch Saturday night when he saw the man parked this car outside of his home.

"He put the car right in front of our house," Kemp said. "After that, he got out of the car and took a left towards Cameron Street."

Kemp said he saw the man all of 10 seconds, but he didn't forget his face, the flannel clothes he was wearing or the way he scurried off from the car.

“Then the car sat there for two days until yesterday," Kemp told Channel 2’s Nefertiti Jáquez.

At first, Kemp said he thought the guy was in the neighborhood visiting family or a friend.

That was until he and another neighbor went up to the car and sneaked a peek inside.

"The car was just butchered in blood. It was bad," Kemp said.

So they called 911 and cops rushed to the scene.

Homicide detectives with Atlanta police quickly realized the car was linked to a murder in Memphis.

"When you see it literally in your front yard, it's a very demonic feeling. It's evil," Kemp said.

Investigators agreed. Memphis police said Raymond Clark and his girlfriend, Zeneatrice Crawford, got into a heated argument inside of the car before Clark repeatedly stabbed her to death.

What's worse, they say, Crawford’s 10-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old family friend were in the back of the car and witnessed the murder.

Clark dumped Crawford's body in a vacant home, dropped the kids off a few miles away then took off before ditching the car here.

"Hopefully they find him," Kemp said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
