ATLANTA — A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Moreland Ave. near E. Confederate Ave. in southeast Atlanta.
Police say over 50 motorcycles were riding in formation in the northbound lanes of Moreland Ave.
A motorcycle serving as an escort tried to pass the group on the right, and struck another motorcycle, police say.
According to police, the collision caused a domino effect involving other motorcycles.
During the crash, the man killed was thrown from his motorcycle and run over by another motorcycle.
The man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, but died of his injuries.
Police don't know which motorcycle ran over the victim.
Three other motorcyclists were injured in this accident.
