1 person found dead in burned car at Buckhead gas station, police say

ATLANTA — One person is dead after a car fire on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, police have confirmed.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and saw a burned car parked at a gas station off of Peachtree Road near Junction Ave.

Officers were surrounding the Chevron station where the car was parked.

Witness photos shared with Channel 2 Action News shows the car on fire while still on the street.

Details on the fire are limited at this time.

Fire officials are still working to learn how the fire started.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
