Fugitive wanted for Dollar Tree shooting arrested in Clayton County

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Clayton County Sheriff's Office arrested fugitive Tariq Walker, the man accused of shooting and killing Stanley Scott inside a Dollar Tree on Cascade Ave. in Atlanta.

The Sheriff's Office says Walker and his girlfriend were standing outside a Dollar Tree harassing customers as they were entering and leaving the store.

Scott got involved in an argument with Walker that led to a physical altercation.

Investigators say Scott went into the store to get assistance from the staff and Walker followed him into the store.

Scott was shot by Walker once in the chest, investigators say.

Police say Scott died two days after the shooting.
