Fans pour into Atlanta ahead of SEC Championship game

ATLANTA — Georgia and Auburn football fans are pouring into downtown Atlanta ahead of the SEC Championship game.

Saturday, the two teams will face off for the SEC title, with the winner likely ending up in the College Football Playoff.

Friday morning, crews finished up the final preparations for the SEC Fanfare that takes place next door to the stadium at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The Georgia vs. Auburn game will be broadcast on radio by News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB.

Managers of Mercedes-Benz Stadium say the attendance will be 70,000+ for the game, likely the largest crowd so far in the stadium's short history.

Tickets are sold out, so the aftermarket business has really heated up. On StubHub on Friday, the cheapest tickets were listed at $425.

The SEC is warning fans to be careful about where you buy a ticket. For the Chick-Fil-A kickoff game last summer, officials say thousands of fans were ripped off because they bought counterfeit tickets.
