Dozens attend Orlando terror attack march at Burkhart's

ATLANTA — Dozens of people attended the Pulse Memorial Walk at Burkhart's, a popular gay club in northeast Atlanta, Sunday. Forty-nine people representing each victim killed in the Orlando terror attack marched from Piedmont Park to the club.

Once the marchers got to Burkhart's, there was a moment of silence followed by a roar of applause as organizers called out the names of each and every shooting victim.

Estrella Sanchez says she sees the ceremony as a positive sign for the community's ability to heal after such a tragedy.

"It was my mission when all of this happened to bring this community together," club owner Don Hunnewell said.

Flags from each of the people who marched now sit on the roof of the club in remembrance of the 49 lives lost.
