ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for the person they say stole a car at a gas station with a baby inside, spokesman Officer Lukasz Sajdak said.
The baby was found along the 1800 block of Laurel Green Lane in East Point.
The thief took the 2011 Gray Acura with the 9-month-old inside from a BP gas station about 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Campbellton and Barge roads, Sajdak said.
“The vehicle will be processed for evidence, and the suspect is still outstanding,” he said.
The baby girl's grandmother told Channel 2's Carl Willis the child's name is Winter.
She says little Winter's mother was pumping gas when the suspect's walked up to her.
When she tried telling them her baby was inside, they pointed a gun at her head.
No other details were released.
The investigation is ongoing.
