ATLANTA - Several businesses were evacuated near Underground Atlanta after a suspicious package was found. The all clear was later given.
Channel 2's Aaron Diamant was live on Channel 2 Action News at Noon where he spoke to police who said utility workers found a suitcase in the area that contained what they believed to be wires, which prompted the investigation.
Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News they evacuated businesses in the area as a precaution at about 11:30 a.m. Friday.
MARTA tweeted that service on the blue/green line was delayed “due to police activity at Five Points.”

Authorities cleared the scene just after 1:20 p.m.
