DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 61-year-old man was shot during an attempted home invasion in DeKalb County Wednesday night.
Police say a group tried to break into the man's home at Austin Oaks on Glenwood Road around 8 p.m.

That man was rushed to the hospital. He was in surgery overnight and is in critical condition.
A 16-year-old boy, who was among the group breaking into the home, was shot and killed during the crime. It's not clear who shot the teen.
"We believe there were multiple suspects involved," Lt. Shane Stanfield said.
