2 staffers for Sen. Kelly Loeffler test positive for COVID-19

ATLANTA — Officials with Sen. Kelly Loeffler’s campaign said two of her staffers have tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson said Loeffler tested negative for the virus on Saturday after learning her staffers were infected.

A spokesperson released a statement Saturday, saying Loeffler will continue her duties in Washington next week.

“Senator Loeffler is more energized than ever to vote to confirm Amy Coney Barrett as the next Supreme Court Justice on Monday before returning home and traveling the state to meet with hardworking Georgians,” the spokesperson said.

The staffers' identities were not released and it’s unclear when Loeffler last had contact with them.
