2 killed outside Burger King in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police are investigating the killing of two men outside a local Burger King.

Police responded to a Burger King in the 3000 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in the early hours of Monday morning.

The medical examiner identified the two killed as Quincy White, 22, of Atlanta, and Reginald Coicou, 24, of Fayetteville.

One man was found dead inside a car at the Burger King, and another was in the parking lot of the Petro beside it. That man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but first responders were not able to resuscitate him.

Police said that while responding to the call, officers saw a man running on the ramp toward Interstate 285 northbound. They said it appeared he may have been running away from the shooting scene.

He was arrested and during the struggle, police said a patrol car bumped into them and rolled over two officers and the suspect.

The man was found to have marijuana on him, and police also found marijuana at the scene of the killings.

The two officers were hospitalized to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries and have since been released.
