Art institute student wanted in fatal shooting

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Sandy Springs police have identified the man they say fatally shot another near a hotel.
 
Investigators said they are looking for Patricko Davis, 21, who they believe killed Takeenan Williams, 23, Thursday afternoon.
 
Officers were called to the Sheraton Hotel off Hammond Drive just after 4 p.m. Thursday for a man that had been shot multiple times.
 
Police said Williams and Davis had gotten into an argument in the area of The Hub, which led to the shooting.
 
Williams was found wounded behind the hotel and police said witnesses reported that Davis ran away from the scene.
 
Williams was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
 
Investigators said Davis is a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

The school released a statement to Channel 2 Action News saying, "We are cooperating with authorities on their investigation. The safety and security of our students is of the utmost importance to us. With an abundance of caution we have increased security at the Hub and on campus."
