ATLANTA — All of metro Atlanta is again under a flood watch until midnight Friday.
Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist David Chandley expects widely scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm into Thursday evening. Metro Atlanta could receive 1-3 inches of rain. With the saturated soil, an inch of rain could cause flooding concerns.
Scattered showers remain in the forecast through the weekend, with a 20 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday and a 40 percent chance on Sunday. Sunday's moisture will be the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal.
Highs will hover in the mid-80s for the next several days. Drier and hotter weather is on tap for early next week.
