Alleged flasher banned from all Walmart stores

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities say a 69-year-old man has been banned from all Walmart stores for exposing himself near shoppers.

Coweta County Sheriff's officials said David Frank Astin was charged with public indecency Wednesday afternoon after he was caught by Walmart security officers exposing himself near women shopping in the Newnan store.

Wednesday's incident marks the fourth time he has been charged with public indecency, said Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. Astin will face criminal trespassing charges if he goes into any Walmart store in the world, Yarbrough said.

Security officers at the Newnan Walmart on Bullsboro Drive saw Astin expose and fondle himself while driving around the aisles in a motorized scooter, Yarbrough said. Yarbrough said Astin would follow women around in the scooter with his pants unzipped – if he came to an aisle with numerous women, he would stand up and fondle himself. Astin would try to cover himself up around any men, but security officers caught him on camera and took him into custody, according to Yarbrough.

Coweta deputies arrived and took him to Coweta County Jail.
