HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Hall County authorities are alerting residents of a rabid bat located in the Clermont area.
County authorities said the bat was sent to the Georgia Public Health Lab and tested positive for the disease. The animal had previously come into contact with a dog near Ivey Street.
Anyone who sees an animal acting abnormally in the area is asked to call Hall County Animal Services at 770-531-6830 or Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812 during nonbusiness hours.
