Activist to file more complaints against Gov. Deal

ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned that community activist George Anderson, who filed initial complaints that led to the investigation of Gov. Nathan Deal by the state ethics commission, will make new filings Monday after new developments.

Channel 2 Action News obtained depositions in cases brought by the former director of the ethics commission and another former employee, who are both suing the state.

They say they were forced out of their jobs for aggressively investigating Deal.

Deal adamantly denied any wrongdoing to Channel 2 Action News as Democrats and his other critics called for criminal investigations.

Anderson said he plans to file complaints to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Georgia attorney general and the inspector general.
