ATLANTA — Atlanta's Sun Dial restaurant has re-opened eight weeks after a 5-year-old boy died after getting stuck between a table and a wall.

On April 14, Charlie Holt of Charlotte, N.C., was having lunch with his parents when he wandered away from the family’s table, according to investigators.

Somehow, the boy got his head pinned between a table and a wall inside the revolving restaurant, located at the top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza downtown.

Witnesses rushed to help the boy’s father free him. But Charlie died from his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.

The restaurant closed after the boy’s death and did not publicly announce when it would again open. On Friday, the restaurant was open for lunch and dinner.
