COBB COUNTY, Ga. - South Cobb Drive has reopened after a car crash took out a traffic signal.
Police said a truck smashed into a pole at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Barclay Circle, near Wildwood Park, on Monday. The crash split the pole in half, tore down power lines and damaged the traffic signals.
Several streets in the area were blocked while crews worked to repair the damages, including replacing eight traffic signals.
Workers are expected to return later Tuesday to clean up the mess.
Police said the driver of the truck suffered minor bumps and bruises.
