COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - Coweta County officials now say a total of nine children received minor injuries after a “low impact” collision involving two loaded school buses at Brooks Elementary School.
One bus was backing up when it struck another bus in the back parking lot of the school Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Officials originally said eight children were taken to both Piedmont Newnan and Piedmont Fayette hospitals. But News Chopper 2 has since learned a total of nine children were hurt and none of them were taken to the hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
