VILLA RICA, Ga. - Five people were injured when a stage tarp collapsed in Villa Rica on Saturday.
It happened at the V-Plex during the Curves and Chrome Rally for a Cure breast cancer event. The tarp buckled due to heavy rainfall, according to Carroll County Emergency Management.
Four people were transported to the hospital, and one person was treated at the scene, Carroll County Fire Deputy Chief Jerry Eason said. He said all had non-life-threatening injuries.
