4-year-old drowns in Gwinnett pool

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A 4-year-old boy died Friday after he was found floating face down in the pool of a Gwinnett County apartment.

News Chopper 2 was over the scene at the Bella Vista apartments along Satellite Boulevard.
 
Family members told investigators Precious Bazalumua, 4, was inside the apartment with his mother, uncle and several other children when he vanished. As family members began searching for him, a teenager at the apartment found the boy lifeless in the pool.
 
Officials said paramedics arrived and put Bazalumua on life-support as he was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center. Friday evening, Gwinnett County police confirmed the boy died.

Channel 2's Matt Belanger spoke to neighbors who were shocked.
 
"It's unbelievable man," said neighbor Lance Carithers. "They were cleaning the pool today but the gates are locked and it says closed but I don't know."
 
Some wanted to know how Bazalumua got into the gated area.
 
"I have two child, two kids and that's very, very scary to me," said resident Victor Oyedeii.
