Brookhaven police are investigating after a 3-year-old child was hit by a car inside a shopping plaza on Buford Highway.
Police said the child and her father were walking to the Mercado del Pueblo Hispanic Supermarket inside of Northeast Plaza about 1:30 p.m. when she was struck by a car.
Police said the child suffered "very minor" injuries to her foot and ankle.
She was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
Police have not released any details about the driver who hit the child or about whether the driver will face any charges.
