Two school buses were involved in a serious crash in Douglas County Monday afternoon.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Two school buses were involved in a deadly crash in Douglas County Monday afternoon.

It happened on Chapel Hill Road at Central Church Road at about 4 p.m.

Deputies say there were no serious injuries on the school buses, but the driver of the car died on the way to the hospital.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash. Troopers say initial reports indicate that they car ran a red light, hit one bus, bounced off it and then hit another bus.

Both buses were carrying Chapel Hill Middle School students. At least one student was treated as a precautionary measure.
