Police identify victims in Lawrenceville apartment shooting

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police have identified the victims of a double shooting at a Lawrenceville apartment complex.

Police say Stacy Hall, 24, and Kory Moss were found dead inside an apartment at Wesley Herrington Homes.

A relative described Moss to Channel 2’s Jessica Jaglois as hard-working and always willing to help someone in need.

Hall was getting his life back on track, said his brother Jaquan Hall.

Jaquan Hall said he found Moss in the hallway of a third-story apartment and his brother on the couch. Both had been shot.

“At approximately 9:50 this morning, our officers assigned to our central precinct responded to a call that a person had been shot,” said Cpl. Michele Pihera with the Gwinnett County Police Department. “When they arrived at the scene, they encountered two deceased males inside of the apartment complex,”

According to the family, there was a third person in the apartment. That person said he hid in a back room until the gunshots stopped, then jumped off the balcony into the bushes below.

The apartment complex said it is looking at surveillance video to see if someone sneaked into the gated community, or entered with permission.

A neighbor who lives below the apartment where the men were found told Jaglois that the neighborhood has been getting worse.

“Oh, this is amazing here," said the neighbor. "This has changed over here. The last two years it’s changed."

Police have not yet named a suspect in this case.
