ATLANTA — Two major highways in downtown Atlanta were shutdown for more than 90 minutes, and it's causing huge delays this Friday morning.

Depend on Mark Arum and Triple Team Traffc to guide you around the mess on Channel 2 Action News.

I-20 EB was closed at I-75/85 and I-75/85 NB was closed at Capitol Avenue due to heavy police activity. All lanes reopened at 6:30 a.m.

The view from NewsChopper 2 showed traffic backed up for miles.

Even after the lanes opened, Arum advised everyone to "not even mess with the connector."

"Taking I-285 is your best bet," Arum said.
