DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - A 13-year-old girl was killed in a two-car wreck that shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 for several hours Sunday.
A woman in her 30s and a man, who was in the same vehicle as the teen, were flown to Atlanta Medical Center, according to the Douglas County Coroner’s Office. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. on I-20 just west of Ga. 92.
Douglasville police told Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri the vehicle with the teen in it crossed over several lanes and collided with another vehicle.
The three people in the other car went to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the crash and have not released the identities of the victims.
