DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned an elderly woman has died from injuries she suffered Friday night in a DeKalb County house fire.
A DeKalb fire official confirmed the update Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called out to a home on Northstrand Drive in DeKalb County just after 6 p.m. Friday.
Investigators told Channel 2's Wendy Corona the woman had to be rescued from an upstairs bedroom.
Firefighters said the woman unconcious when they found her. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta in critical condition.
