LINK: Residential Garbage Service Plans

Republic Services has canceled residential trash and recycling services for the week. These services will resume on Monday morning per the normal collection schedules. Because this week's pickup did not occur, residents will not be charged for additional bags. Overflow household trash will be collected as long as it is placed in bags at the curbside according to the normal pickup schedule for your address.

Atlanta - The Department of Public Works will begin collection of routes as road conditions improve. Yard trimming collections are delayed until further notice. All route collections are dependent upon weather conditions and accessibility.

Carrollton - Usually sanitation collection on Monday & Tuesday delayed until Thursday and Friday.

Conyers - Began collecting sanitation Wednesday. They anticipate they will be running routes through Saturday to catch up.

Dallas - City of Dallas will resume sanitation pick up on Monday.

DeKalb County - DeKalb County Sanitation will resume residential garbage collection Thursday for residences that are on Monday/Thursday curbside service, and on Friday for those residences that receive Tuesday/Friday pickup. Sanitation will continue service on Saturday as needed to get to any areas that were inaccessible on Thursday or Friday.

Douglasville - Residential trash and garbage collection suspended this week. They will resume regular service on Tuesday, January 18. Tuesday will be Monday and Tuesdays routes. Fayetteville - CLM Sanitation offices will be closed again Thursday. CLM Sanitation service will return on Friday Jan. 14th, and will only be servicing the customers whose pickup day is Friday. They will return to normal schedule Monday, Jan 17th, NOT observing the MLK holiday next week.

Gainesville - Garbage and recycling pick-up is expected to resume Monday, January 17. City customers who receive pick-up on Monday should have their garbage and recycling ready by 7:00am.

Gwinnett - Icy conditions continue to delay residential trash and recycling pickup. There will be no pickup on Friday. Trash collection will resume on Monday, on your scheduled pickup day.

Kennesaw – Trash pickup resumed Wednesday.

Marietta - Garbage, recycling and brush pickups are suspended until it is safe for workers and transfer stations reopen.

McDonough - The City of McDonough will resume pickup of both garbage and recycling on Friday, January 14th

Powder Springs - Garbage scheduled to be picked up on Monday will be picked up on Friday, January 14. City offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011 for MLK Day. Beginning Tuesday, the garbage pickup will be on regular schedule.

Smyrna - Sanitation/recycling collection was delayed until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Collection of Monday and Tuesday routes was being attempted on Wednesday, January 12, but with the compression of Monday and Tuesday routes into one day (Wednesday) curbside recycling may not be accomplished this week for all routes.

Woodstock - If you are a City of Woodstock resident and your normally scheduled pickup day of residential garbage by Advanced Disposal is on Friday, you will receive service Friday - so please put out your trash cart/recycling Thursday night or by 5 a.m. Friday morning. If your service was missed this week - it will be made up on your normally scheduled pick up day next week. For more information, please call 678 495-0058.
