Paris sweltered on Friday as temperatures soared, driving tourists and locals to bathe in fountains in front of the Eiffel tower to escape the heat. After a gloomy month of June, the weather perked up in recent days with temperatures topping 30 degrees on Friday afternoon, according to weather service Meteo France.
