Japanese Sci-Fi Animation Blasts Off in Venice

Japanese super animation "Harlock: Space Pirate" received its world premiere at the Venice film festival on September the third. The film is the labour of love from Japan's top animators and CG specialists who have spent five years toiling on the movie. It centres on the "antihero rebel" Captain Harlock, the last man standing in the way of the corrupt Gaia Coalition who seek intergalactic dominance. Harlock then seeks revenge against those who have wronged both himself and all of mankind.
