ATLANTA — A Fantasy 5 ticket worth more than $400,000 was sold in Hephzibah. Kangaroo Express #3263, located at 4101 Windsor Springs Road, sold a lucky Fantasy 5 ticket worth $416,454 from the Jan. 3 drawing.
Ulysses Mays of Hephzibah is the winner, matching all five winning numbers, claiming his prize Jan. 9 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Augusta.
Mays is one of two winners each to win the jackpot prize from the Jan. 3 Fantasy 5 drawing.
The second winning ticket was purchased in Tifton.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 11-15-25-26-31.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
