TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — The LaGrange Police Department has collaborated with the local Homeless Coalition and New Ventures Inc., of LaGrange, to address the need for a temporary homeless shelter.
The Police Department says that New Ventures has offered a portion of its newly acquired facility on Lukken Industrial Drive to serve as this center and will be available for the Homeless Coalition’s use during days with extreme weather conditions.
The entire community is asked to assist in preparing the provided space as a comfort zone for homeless and others in need before the cold of winter 2016 arrives.
