Inmate captured after escaping from courthouse

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Rome have found an inmate who escaped from the Floyd County courthouse Monday.

Dustin Cotton, 26, was re-captured late Monday night after he had been on the run most of the day.

Cotton had originally faced robbery and kidnapping charges.

TRENDING STORIES:

An orange shirt and shackles were found a block away from the courthouse, according to the Sheriff's Office.

There is no word on any additional charges against Cotton at this point.
