Sea Island, Four Seasons Atlanta top Forbes list

The Four Seasons Atlanta and Sea Island’s Lodge and Cloister hotels remained Georgia’s top spots in Forbes annual ratings of the country’s best luxury properties.

The Lodge at Sea Island Golf Club has received the Five-Star award since opening in 2001, and the Georgian Room, which was first awarded the Five-Star in 2006, is the only restaurant in the state of Georgia with this honor. In 2007, The Cloister and The Spa at Sea Island followed suit.

The three hotels received the prestigious five-star designation, which travelers look for when deciding whether it’s worth spending $500 or more a night for a hotel room.
