Man killed in fiery crash on I-75

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say one person died in a fiery crash on Interstate 75 North at Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw.

News Chopper 2 flew over the scene just after 5 p.m., when huge delays were seen on I-75 northbound in Cobb County. Police said one vehicle went off the road and ran into the woods off I-75 and caught fire. In a news release, Cobb County police said a state highway emergency responder was headed to render assistance to the driver before the car went off the road.

Two of three northbound lanes are blocked on the interstate. Authorities said some eastbound lanes are also closed, adding to rush hour delays.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Kevin Stefanik, of Woodstock.
