BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News was at the scene of a deadly crash that has shut down westbound and eastbound lanes of Highway 316 in Barrow County Wednesday.
A pickup truck driver, 29-year-old Cody Grayson Brantley, died in the crash involving two semi-trucks near Patrick Mill Road, Barrow County sheriff's deputies said.
The tractor-trailer struck the rear of the pickup truck causing its front end to strike a Dodge 350. Officials said the tractor-trailer overturned as a result.
Richard Shane Moore, 44, was injured and transported to Athens Regional. Officials say, the driver of the tractor-trailer, Roger Bly, 40, was charged with homicide by vehicle (second degree) and following too closely.
