Support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its mission to cure all blood cancers. Pennies for Patients is a service learning project that takes place in schools across Georgia for 3 weeks to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students work together to collect spare change in honor of a local cancer patient, their honored hero. Last year, almost 600 schools in Georgia contributed over $670,000 through Pennies for Patients! Each year, over 12 million students participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Programs—Pennies for Patients, Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies, and HOP for Leukemia—and join in the fight against cancer. For more than 15 years, the School & Youth Programs have given students the opportunity to experience the powerful feeling that comes from working together to help others. Schools raise awareness and funds in honor of local patients battling a blood cancer like leukemia.
