Keep Atlanta Beautiful: Community Recycling Center

Keep Atlanta Beautiful’s (KAtlB) electronics recycling collection now accepts paper, post consumer polystyrene, popularly known as styrofoam, and paint donations for $2.00/container. The recycling center is located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood at the Walden School, 320 Irwin Street, Atlanta, GA 30312. Collection days are every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10am - 3pm. AADD invites you to attend the next round of Conversations That Matter that start in January 2012.  The topic is Justice and Developmental Disabilities.  By attending this event, you will have an opportunity to meet fellow advocates and local leaders who care about justice issues in their communities. Conversations That Matter: Justice and Developmental Disabilities, meet with advocates and community leaders for a dialogue about individuals with developmental disabilities and the justice system, discuss current programs and practices in Georgia and your community and identify community-based alternatives to incarceration and receive updates on the NEW Georgia Crisis System. 100 Black Men of Atlanta Inaugural Members Leadership Summit

The Board of Directors and the members of 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc., Annual Members Leadership Summit   is scheduled for Friday, February 24-25, 2012 at the Allen Entrepreneurial Institute and Conference Center in Lithonia Georgia.  Ambassador Andrew Young, Dr. David Satcher, 16th U.S. Surgeon General; Baseball Legend Hank Aaron; and Businessman Felker Ward are Honorary Co-Chairs.  Also, U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. will be the Dinner Speaker on Saturday, February 25th.
