What a weekend full of music.

Sugarland kicked the weekend off a day early. The country music duo packed in the people at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park in Alpharetta despite a few showers.

Sugarland's country music counterpart, Toby Keith, made his way to Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood on Friday night. The artist behind such songs as, "Should've Been A Cowboy" and "Red Solo Cup" has made Lakewood a regular tour stop the last several years. Brantley Gilbert was one of the openers.

Across town on Friday night, country legend Loretta Lynn played. Lynn was part of the Delta Classic Chastain Series at Chastain Park.

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was open for business again on Friday night as the venue welcomed My Morning Jacket and Band of Horses to town.

The always popular Phish returned to the Atlanta area on Saturday night. The rockers took the stage at Lakewood. No doubt that the lawn was a popular place to hang out on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, at Chastain Park, the legendary B.B. King brought his music to town for an adoring crowd. The Tedeschi Trucks Band opened.

If you missed the shows, not to worry. There are numerous shows headed to town before the official end of summer. Mary J. Blige and D'Angelo play Chastain on Tuesday night.
