Jonas Brothers 'Surprise Theater Invasion' Stops In Atlanta

CHAMBLEE, Ga. —

Jonas Brothers fans packed theaters across Atlanta Saturday night for opening weekend of "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."

While all the fans got to see the Jonas Brothers on the big screen, several hundred got to see the life-size version, too.

"The Jonas Brothers just came to this theater and I didn't even know about it," Kaitie Fowler commented. She had just seen the three brothers and had tears rolling down her face.

The Jonas Brothers have been appearing unannounced in theaters across the country this weekend. They're calling it the "Surprise Theater Invasion" tour. Fans show up to see the movie and they get to see the actual Jonas Brothers, too.

"We started to think of ways to surprise our fans," Nick Jonas told the media before entering the theater. "This idea came to mind and we thought about it. We could drop in on select cities and surprise fans, even if it's an acoustic song or just a hello, hope you enjoy the movie and really experience the whole thing with them. This is really an amazing time for us in our lives and we want them to be a part of it as much as we can."

The Jonas Brothers billed the "Surprise Theater Invasion" tour as 49 hours, 6,000 miles and 5,000 fans.

When the band entered the theater, the crowd erupted. Many of the teen girls shed tears before it was over.

The appearance was a quick one. The Jonas Brothers said hello, thanked the fans for attending and they were out the door to another theater.

That made little difference to Grayson Coker. She now has a great story to tell all her friends. "Well, (I'll tell them) that I saw the real Jonas Brothers."

Prior to the Atlanta stop, the brothers had visited theaters in California, New York, New Jersey and North Carolina.

The movie will still be in theaters on Monday, though the Jonas Brothers will be back to work on their Disney television show.
