ALPHARETTA, Ga. —

Country music superstar Dolly Parton paid a visit to the Peach State on Wednesday. She performed at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park.

The visit was part of the Better Day Tour. Parton recently released an album by the same name.

"The Queen of Country Music," as she's often referred to, heads overseas from here. She's scheduled to perform three shows in the United Kingdom before performing in Denmark, Sweden and Ireland. She'll return to the United States in October with a scheduled stop in Valdosta on Oct. 14.

As is often times the case when covering concerts as part of the media, performers only allow television stations to shoot a small portion of the show. In the case of Parton, Nelson's News on wsbtv.com was allowed to capture the first 30 seconds of the first two songs.

Up first was "Walking on Sunshine."

When Parton isn't performing, she's got a number of other endeavors to keep her busy. There's the Dollywood amusement park, Splash Country Water Adventure Park, Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction, Pirates Voyage Fun, Feast & Adventure and the Imagination Library.

Here's part of Parton's performance of "Better Get To Livin'."

Parton has had 24 singles reach the top spot on the music charts. She reached it for the 25th time with Brad Paisley in 2005 for their song "When I Get Where I'm Going."
